More than 26 Million Listeners Tuned in to the Network’s Coverage of the Democratic Presidential Debate
NEW YORK, NY – October 27, 2015 – Westwood One News announces that its exclusive coverage of the CNBC Republican Presidential Debate — “Your Money, Your Vote" – will air on more than 160 stations on Wednesday, October 28. The debate will be held at the Coors Events Center at the University of Colorado Boulder and moderated by CNBC’s Carl Quintanilla.
Westwood One News’ simulcast of the October 13th CNN Democratic debate attracted more than 26 million listeners. Some post-debate custom research shows that:
- The Westwood One News’ Democratic debate coverage was listened to by over 26 million people, 18+
- These 26 million people represent 10.8% of adults, 18+
- Nearly 60% of the Adult audience was aged 18-49 and over a quarter (28%) of the listening adult audience consisted of Millennials, 18-34
- One out of 10 Millennials, 18-34 (10.1%) were reached; one of 10 Generation Xer’s, 35-54 (11.4%) were reached
- Nearly 40% listened away from home, including in their cars
